Are you a college student studying conservation, environmental or natural & applied science? Do you want experience with grantmaking and philanthropy? Would you like increased exposure to non-profit governance, investment management and board service? Are you eager to influence grantmaking decisions that could fund environmental nonprofit organizations in northern New England?

The Davis Conservation Foundation (DCF) is looking for an Intern to serve with our seven Trustees.

You would be required to attend Trustee Meetings twice a year – during mid-May and mid-November – at the foundation’s office in Yarmouth, ME. This would be a two-year commitment.

You would join Trustees in reviewing all grant applications, then participate in board meetings to discuss and cast a vote to determine the funding level for each proposal.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a degree program related to conservation and/or the environment

Compensation and Benefits

A fee of $750 will be paid after each semi-annual trustee meeting ($3,000 total during the two-year internship).
