Philanthropy Officer
The Aroostook Agency on Aging is seeking a dynamic full-time Philanthropy Officer to assist with our fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about nonprofit work and has a knack for building and maintaining relationships. As a key member of our team, you will help drive our mission forward by fostering a strong donor community. This role will also identify new fundraising opportunities and support the long-term financial stability of the agency mission of improving the lives of older adults in northern Maine.
A non-profit serving Aroostook County since 1973, the Aroostook Agency on Aging’s mission is to improve the quality of life, maximize the independence and promote the well-being of older people in northern Maine. It does this through over 30 programs and services for older adults, those with disabilities, and their caregivers focused on trusted information, wellness services, and in-home supports.
3 years of philanthropy, marketing/sales or equivalent experience required
Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, sales, communications or related field preferred; associate degree required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with donor management software preferred
Ability to follow detailed procedures for processing constituent data with a high level of accuracy
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate directly and effectively with others
Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Polished professional presence; the ability to interact with trustees and major donors as needed

- Full time position; Modified Work Week (Monday-Thursday)
- Competitive wage based on experience
- Flexible schedule with potential of some remote work, but will mainly work from main office in Presque Isle, ME
