Join the Maine Climate & Environmental Funders Network to explore the findings and recommendations of The Listen Project—a groundbreaking youth-led study of climate organizers. This participatory research effort offers insights into the strengths, needs, and opportunities within Maine’s dynamic youth climate movement, as well as its current and potential impact.
The Listen Project is a collaboration between Maine Environmental Education Association’s Changemakers and Maine Youth for Climate Justice that illustrates how the youth climate movement is both intersectional and rapidly evolving. The project’s funders–Barr Foundation, Broad Reach Foundation, and Onion Foundation–will share their perspective on the results and on how the initiative fits into their funding strategies.
Through presentation, discussion, and an interactive Data Museum, participants will experience the findings and recommendations firsthand, hearing directly from youth leaders about how strategic resourcing can address known challenges. This gathering invites funders to listen deeply and take part in shaping a more connected and well-supported future for the state’s climate movement.
