This role often comes with singular challenges and responsibilities—convenings are designed to provide a sense of connection, shared purpose, and mutual support in navigating this important work. Additionally, the network listserv offers Maine’s philanthropic leaders a space to ask questions, build relationships, and share opportunities outside of regular meetings.
This group is for CEO-level leadership or, for out-of-state based funders, those that function in the most senior leadership role for Maine.
Meetings focus on:
Fostering Collaboration: Exploring cross-sector and multi-organizational initiatives to address Maine's pressing needs.
Shared Learning: Discussing complex issues like fiscal sponsorship, equitable funding practices, and philanthropic responses to emerging legal or policy changes (e.g., Affirmative Action decisions).
