Mission: Waterman’s is the community center at the hub of life on North Haven Island. The mission is to enrich the island community year-round through the arts, cultural, and educational programming. Programs and events include the island’s only preschool, plays in our 130-seat theater, concerts, afterschool programs, lectures, a self-serve Coffee Shop, summer camps, workshops and more. The ferry leaves from Rockland…Come visit!
Upcoming Program: In December, in addition to our regular programs, we host an annual gingerbread house decorating workshop for ages 3-12, a Hannukah traditions celebration, the K-12 community school holiday concert, a monthly book club, life drawing sessions, and our Island Showcase Exhibit which is a celebration of island creativity and talent; everyone is invited to submit one item and nothing is for sale. In January we start thinking about two 10-day female playwright residencies which will happen later in the spring and planning for events and camp staff for the summer.
