OUT Maine’s mission is to work towards a welcoming and affirming Maine for our rural youth of non-confirming sexual orientation, gender expression and gender identity through support, education and empowerment of these youth, their allies and families.

Niweskok, a local non-profit of Wabanaki farmers, land tenders, and educators, is under contract and raising funds towards purchasing a 245-acre working farm near Belfast in coastal Penobscot territory. 

The MCOA draws upon wisdom, experience, and data to influence policy, educate stakeholders, and advance initiatives that move us towards our vision. We commit to including the voices, wisdom, and lived experience of diverse older people.
