Ticket transfers: If the original attendee for a ticket cannot attend the conference, tickets can be transferred until May 23, 2023. Please let us know if you would like to tranfer a ticket to someone else so we can update their name tag, dietary restrictions, and accessibility accommodations.

Event Cancellation Policy

The Maine Philanthropy Center reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any program or event at any time. This includes our conference, as well as workshops, gatherings, and any/all other Maine Philanthropy Center-sponsored programming.

If we cancel the conference, all registrants will receive a full refund.

If we reschedule the conference and you cannot make it on the new date, please let us know as soon as possible by contacting our office at mpc@mainephilanthropy.org or (207) 780-5029 to request a cancellation. If you inform us that you cannot make the rescheduled event at least two weeks (14 days) prior to the new event date, you will receive a full refund. If you fail to provide us with at least 14 days' notice, our regular registration cancellation policies will apply. (See above.)

Modification of These Policies

The Maine Philanthropy Center reserves the right to develop separate cancellation policies for specific events and modify its written cancellation policies at any time. Any modifications or event-specific policies will be stated clearly on the registration materials for the applicable programs.

Weather-Related Cancellations

Weather in Maine can be unpredictable. We don’t want anyone traveling to our programs in dangerous conditions. If we need to cancel or reschedule an event because of weather, we will do our best to contact attendees as far as possible in advance. We also will post a notice on the event page on our website.

Generally speaking, if USM (the University of Southern Maine - Portland campus) is closed, our events are cancelled. For more information about determining the status of USM, visit the school's Weather Delays and Cancellations webpage.
