What does it take to be resilient here?

A conversation between community members and nonprofit leaders that speaks to childcare, healthy aging, the role of the arts, and the partnerships between nonprofits and muncipalities. The panel includes: 

  • Community members associated with Women for Healthy Rural Living (WHRL) speaks to their experience of growing up or aging here and also food security
  • Community members from the Latinx community share their insights on living in Milbridge and their experiences with Mano en Mano
  • Community members associated with Maine Seacoast Mission Downeast Campus speak to growing up in the area, raising children, or maintaining aging housing here; food security
  • A member of the new Milbridge Theatre Board speaks to the role the arts play in building resiliency and community
  • Louis Pinkham, Town manager speaks to the partnerships that exist between municipalities and nonprofits
